What Scaboma Lotion is and how it works
Scaboma Lotion contains gamma benzene hexachloride (lindane) 1%. Gamma benzene hexachloride (lindane, γ-HCH) is an organochlorine pesticide that disrupts arthropod nerve cell function, causing paralysis and death of mites and lice. How to apply (scabies)
- Bath or shower; pat dry.

- Leave on for 6–8 hours maximum (NOT overnight; risk of toxicity).
- Wash off thoroughly with cool water.
- Single application is typically sufficient. Do NOT routinely repeat — repeat only if treatment failure is confirmed at 2 weeks.
- Wash all clothes, bedding, towels at >60°C on the day of treatment.
- Treat all household contacts simultaneously.
Side effects
- Common: mild itching, burning, redness at application site.
