Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface to prevent contamination. Repeat the process in the other eye if directed by your doctor. Use Xalatan exactly as prescribed, typically once daily in the evening.

Latanoprost, the active ingredient in Xalatan, works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, the fluid that fills the front part of the eye.
