What is Lacoma-T Eye Drops?

Lacoma-T Eye Drops is a fixed-dose combination eye drop manufactured by Sun Pharma, containing latanoprost 0.005% and timolol maleate 0.5% in a 2.5 mL bottle. The two ingredients target both sides of the IOP equation — outflow (latanoprost) and production (timolol) — for once-daily 30–35% IOP reduction.

Hogyan működik

Latanoprost increases uveoscleral outflow via FP-receptor activation; timolol reduces aqueous production through ciliary epithelium beta-blockade. The mechanisms are complementary, making the combination roughly equivalent to taking the two drugs separately at the right intervals.

Adagolás

One drop in affected eye(s) once daily, in the evening. Wait 5 minutes between other eye drops. Practise punctal occlusion for 1–2 minutes to reduce systemic timolol absorption. Remove contact lenses; reinsert after 15 minutes.
