How Finasteride Works for Hair

Finasteride reduces scalp DHT by ~60%. Over 3–6 months, miniaturised follicles can recover, restoring thicker, longer hair shafts. Newly miniaturised follicles cannot recover — earlier treatment yields better outcomes.
