How to Apply Pirox Gel
- Wash your hands and the skin area with mild soap and water; dry thoroughly.
- Squeeze a small ribbon (about the size of a cherry for a single knee, a grape for a wrist or elbow) onto the painful area.
- Gently rub in until absorbed — this usually takes 30–60 seconds.
- Wash your hands with soap and water after application (unless you are treating your hands).

Photosensitivity warning. Piroxicam, including topical piroxicam, can cause photosensitive skin reactions — abnormal sunburn, rash, or blistering on skin that has been exposed to UV light. Who Should Not Use Pirox Gel?
