What Is Rasalect?
Rasalect is an oral tablet containing rasagiline 1 mg. rasagiline is a selective monoamine oxidase type B (MAO-B) inhibitor originally introduced as Azilect. Rasalect is manufactured by a WHO-GMP certified facility and is bioequivalent to the originator brand at the same strength.
Rasagiline was developed as a second-generation MAO-B inhibitor specifically to avoid selegiline’s amphetamine metabolites. Who Is Rasalect For?
Rasalect is appropriate for adults with Parkinson disease — either as monotherapy in early disease or as adjunct to levodopa in patients with motor fluctuations.
