What Salicylix SF Ointment is and how it works

Salicylix SF Ointment contains salicylic acid 6%. Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid that softens and dissolves the cement (desmosomes) between corneocytes — the dead cells of the stratum corneum. This causes desquamation, thinning hyperkeratotic skin (corns, calluses, psoriatic plaques) and helping resolve common warts.
