Metrogyl Gel is meant for external use only. It should be applied only to the affected area of the skin as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. How long until I see improvement?
Rosacea responds slowly — visible reduction in inflammatory lesions usually takes 3–6 weeks of consistent twice-daily application. Many patients continue maintenance application long-term to prevent recurrence. The redness component (telangiectasia and flushing) responds less well and may need additional measures (laser, brimonidine, lifestyle).
How do I apply Metrogyl Gel?
Wash and dry the area first, then apply a thin layer to the affected skin twice daily (or as directed). Avoid the eyes, mouth, and inside the nose. Skip moisturiser application immediately before or after — wait at least 5–10 minutes between products. Sunscreen during the day is recommended (rosacea-prone skin is sun-sensitive).
