Editorial Policy
Last updated: May 2026
MedsBase is committed to providing accurate, evidence-based information about medications to help patients make informed decisions. This page explains how we create, review, and maintain our content.
Who writes our content
Product pages and health guides are written by our in-house content team and reviewed by pharmacy researchers with experience in clinical drug information and generic pharmaceutical standards. Reviewer credentials are listed on our Editorial Team page.
Sources we use
- Peer-reviewed clinical studies indexed in PubMed / MEDLINE
- WHO Model Formulary and WHO Essential Medicines List
- Manufacturer Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) and prescribing information
- CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation) approval records
- European Medicines Agency (EMA) and FDA drug databases for reference
What we do not do
- We do not provide personalised medical advice. Content is for information only.
- We do not exaggerate efficacy claims beyond what clinical evidence supports.
- We do not suppress safety information, including known side effects and contraindications.
Corrections and updates
If you believe any content on MedsBase contains a clinical error, contact us at [email protected]. We review all correction requests and update pages within 30 days if a verified error is found. Significant corrections are noted at the top of the affected page.
Commercial independence
Editorial content is produced independently of commercial considerations. The products we stock do not influence the clinical information we publish about active ingredients. Our reviewers have no financial interest in any specific product listing.
Review schedule
High-traffic product pages are reviewed at least once every 12 months. Pages are also reviewed when significant new clinical evidence is published for the relevant drug class. The “Last reviewed” date on each page reflects the most recent review by our medical team.
