How Involym works
Involym contains Lymecycline, a tetracycline antibiotic that binds the 30S bacterial ribosomal subunit and prevents aminoacyl-tRNA delivery to the A-site, blocking protein synthesis. Tetracyclines are bacteriostatic with a broad spectrum: Gram-positive cocci, Gram-negative rods, atypicals (Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, Rickettsia), spirochaetes (Borrelia / Lyme, Treponema), protozoa (some Plasmodium, Entamoeba), and several intracellular pathogens.
