Crotorax Cream is appropriate for:

Crotorax Cream Dosage and How to Apply

Scabies Treatment Protocol

1. Have a warm (not hot) shower or bath; pat dry. Skin should be cool and completely dry.
2. Apply Crotorax Cream to the entire body from neck down — including soles, between toes/fingers, under nails, genital area, buttocks. For infants under 2 and immunocompromised patients, also apply to scalp, face (avoiding eyes/mouth), and behind ears.
3. Apply once daily for 3-5 consecutive nights
4. Wash off thoroughly 24-48 hours after the last application
5. Treat all close contacts simultaneously, even if asymptomatic
6. Wash all bedding/towels/clothing from past 72 hours at >50°C; seal non-washable items in plastic bags for 72 hours

Symptomatic Itch Relief

1. Apply a thin layer to the affected itchy area
2. Massage gently until absorbed
3. Apply 2-3 times daily as needed — relief lasts 6-10 hours per application
4. Avoid eyes, mouth, mucous membranes, and broken skin
5. Maximum 1 week of continuous use without medical review — persistent itch may need further investigation

Children under 2: crotamiton is generally avoided in children under 2 years and is not the preferred choice in young children — permethrin or oral ivermectin under specialist supervision is preferred.

• Extensive ezcematous or inflammatory dermatosis where topical application would worsen the inflammation
