Never stop antidepressants or mood stabilisers abruptly — taper over 2–4 weeks minimum, longer for paroxetine and venlafaxine (worst discontinuation syndromes of their classes). For acute crisis (suicidality, psychotic emergency), call your local emergency number rather than self-medicating.
